5 Best Electric Motorcycles For Your Daily Commute

Electric Motorcycles are a great choice for your everyday commute into the office. We review 5 models to make your daily transport more fun and efficient!

Considerations

What to think about when choosing the perfect commuter:
Range – Are you going to be able to get to the office and back on a single charge?
Top Speed – Inner city roads or some freeway too. How fast do you need to go?
Price – How much will you need to outlay?
Comfort – Will you arrive to start your working day refreshed or weary?

Sondor Metacycle

Sondor Metacycle

The Sondor Metacycle is a lightweight electric motorcycle designed and built by the engineers at the California-based eBike manufacturer. The frame design is certainly eye catching and at US$5000 (€4306 Euros) a very affordable option compared to similar capable electric motorcycles.
The Sondor Metacycle claims to delivery 80 miles of range on a single charge. This should be more than sufficient for most urban commutes. With a top speed of 80mph the Sondor does have highway ability but don’t expect to get 80 miles of freeway riding, it will significantly drop at that speed. The battery is removable though so you do have the option of recharging at the office for your return journey.
The ergonomics of this bike are more suited to quick urban commutes, the minimalist seat and narrow faux fuel tank provide little grip to the rider. No all day excursions on this model.

Pros
Very competitive price
Freeway capable
Removable Battery

Cons
Only 11 hp
Minimal seat & ergonomics

Specifications:
Range: 80 miles (129 km) – City
