Best Electric Scramblers For 2023

Black Tea Motorcycles Scrambler

Scramblers are a popular segment of the traditional motorcycle market, with their aggressive knobbly tires, long flat seats, round headlights and retro looks they’re a magnet for riders wanting a motorcycle that is not only fun to ride but looks good to.
Just like the vast majority of SUVs will never see a muddy 4WD track these scramblers are more about having the look than the capability, but it’s nice to know you have the option to take that side forest road when out on your next adventure.

Switch eScrambler

Switch Motorcycles eScrambler

The eScrambler by Switch Motorcycles is one of the best looking and well thought out electric scramblers on the market. The Hong Kong/New Zealand based company unveiled the eScrambler concept back in 2019 and despite delays due to Covid and supply lines have recently starting taking pre-orders via their website.

The eScrambler performs well for a mid-sized electric motorcycle. Its 50kW electric motor provides a top speed of 150km/h (93 mph) with a real world range of 150 km (93 miles). There’s also some neat technology added into the eScrambler, including GPS tracking, a modern digital display, three riding modes, cruise control and USB phone charging.

Switch Motorcycles have designed the eScrambler to a high standard of finish and with its classic lines and knobbly tires this bike is sure to be a hit when it comes to market. Initial release will be the US and New Zealand with other regions to follow.

Top speed on the Patagonia is a respectable 68 mph (109 km/h), however range is only 62 miles (100 kms) so this bike will only take so much off-road adventure.
