2022 Zero DSR Review

On the back of Zeros recently released 2022 FXE model, and in response to the unprecedented demand seen in the powersports industry since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Zero motorcycles has made some key updates to it’s street orientated models, including the dual sport DSR.

The Zero DSR electric motorcycle utilises Zeros Cypher II operating system, has BOSCH ABS braking and also gets Bluetooth connectivity that allows riders to customize the bikes performance via their smartphone app.

The Zero DSR also receives the updated full-color optically bonded 5″ TFT display found on their flagship SR/F and SR/S models.

“Though the overall demand for all powersports, particularly dual-sport models, has increased since the onset of lockdown restrictions in early 2020, demand for electric motorcycles has continued to spike upward even well into the calendar year 2021 riding season.”

Pricing on the 2022 Zero DSR starts at $15,695 US (€13,388 Euros). The DSR uses the larger Z-Force 75-7 motor which produces 52 kW and provides a top speed of 102 mph (164 km/h). Range is 163 miles (262 km) via the motorcycles 14.4 kWh battery with city use. This range will drop significantly when on the freeway or open road.
