One of the major issues holding back electric motorcycles is the recharge time compared to filling up an ICE to get you back on the road. Yedea have provided real progress in that area with its new release, the Kemper. Equipped with a 320 volt, 20 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate battery that supports DC fast charging providing an 80% charge time in ten minutes or 100% charge in an impressive 18 minutes.

The mid-drive motor comes in at 23 kW sustained with a peak of 40 kW. This provides a torque of 570 Nm (420 lb.ft) with 0 – 60mph obtained in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h).

Yadea have equipped the bike well with Bosch ABS and traction control, a four piston Brembo front brake and dual piston rear. Suspension is a KYB inverted fork and a KYB rear shock to help smooth your ride. There’s also a 7 inch TFT color dash with companion app, remote unlocking, GPS tracking and something we haven’t seen on any other recent electric motorcycles, a 1080p built in dash cam that saves to a removable flash drive.
