Auper Motorcycles Release The InCity Electric Prototype

Auper Motorcycles Electric Motorcycle

The Brazilian startup is out to show the world you can create an electric motorcycle with the latest in cutting edge technology while still being affordable to the masses.

Auper Motorcycles InCity Electric Motorcycle

At first glance the InCIty is a handsome motorcycle. A modern take on a naked cafe racer with its circular LED headlight, tubular trellis frame and mono-shocked swingarm.

Performance wise the InCity has a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h) and will go from 0 to 60mph (100 km/h) in 5 seconds. Its centrally mounted battery pack provides a 100 mile (160km) of inner city riding.

Packed with technology the InCity comes equipped with safety features such as ABS, traction and stability control, smart LED lighting and even haptic seat feedback. To deter thieves all electronic components on the InCity are fully encrypted to the bikes owner making it nearly impossible for the stolen parts to be used.

The Intelligent Instrument Cluster on the InCity provides realtime performance metrics alongside live traffic information. There’s also a generous 37 litres of internal storage, enough for a full faced helmet and bag.

Magnet Free Powertrain

While the vast majority of electric motors employ permanent magnets as part of their construction Auper has created a magnet-free electric motor with strategic partner Enedym Inc. Not only does this production costs but it is also kinder to the environment as the mining process results in toxic runoff and environmental degradation.

Auper Motorcycles have yet to reveal any information on pricing and availability of the InCity but we would hope to see it hitting the market in the next couple of years.
