This Barcelona based startup has spent the last few years reviving the brand and preparing for production. Now the company has moved along into sales and showing off it’s PURSANG E-Track electric motorcycle.
The Spanish company was founded in 2018 by industrial engineer Jim Palau-Ribes. He combined is love of classic Pursang bikes with a desire to provide an electric model that offers attractive aesthetics and dynamic performance but at an affordable price.
What resulted was the PURSANG E-Track. Featuring a 11kW continuous rated Bosch motor with a maximum speed of 75mph (120 kmph).
The PURSANG E-Track contains three 48V batteries rated at 2.4kWh each providing a total of 7.2 kWh capacity, similar to that of the Zero FXS electric motorcycle. The batteries are not removable but the motorcycle does have an on-board charger and also provides a built in charging cord which allows the rider to charge from a standard 220V outlet.
The flat tracker look is completed with wide and high handlebars, all terrain Pirelli Scorpion tires, Jjuan brakes and a sleek tail. The frame is tube chromoly with the body made from laminated carbon providing an overall light package for an electric motorcycle.
The PURSANG E-Track comes in three riding modes, Go, Cruise and Boost providing ranges of 87, 71 and 50 miles respectively. It also has a Crawl mode that helps the rider manoeuvre the bike into place.
The Launch Edition bikes have already sold out with a good portion of sales coming from German riders. PURSANG has recently signed an exclusive agreement with a German importer so expect this bike to retain its popularity there.
Pricing wise the bike starts at US$14,970. PURSANG is hoping to reach a production level for the E-Track of 400 units in 2021.
