This East Asian startup is looking to appeal to commuters seeking an electric motorcycle capable of handling everyday riding without the use of fossil fuels to do it.
The Alrendo TS Bravo has all the looks of a sports bike and while it doesn’t compete performance wise with the likes of leading spork bike manufacturers such as Zero and Energica, at a price point of €10,000 (around US$12,000) it hasn’t been designed to.
The TS Bravo provides a decent power output with a 11 kW continuous rated motor that can put out bursts of 58 kW. Range on the Alrendo TS Bravo is impressive. At urban speeds of 31 mph (50 km/h) you’ll get up to 260 miles (419km) of range. At highway speeds of 75mph that drops to 95 miles (153 km), but for a commuter bike at this price point it’s a real advantage over its rivals.
These are impressive figures and the Alrendo TS Bravo is able to achieve this via some decent technology. Its electric motor features a high tech liquid cooling system in order to keep operating temperatures down. It also boasts a powertrain weighing in at only 17 kg (37.5 lbs), without the batteries of course.
Monitoring speed is via TS Bravo’s 7 inch full color TFT display, this also provides the bike’s vital information such as amount of charge, and battery usage.
The Alrendo Bravo TS has a large capacity battery of 16.6 kWh, of which 14.3 kWh is useable. Much larger than most other commuter electric motorcycles which have around 4 to 6 kWh available.
With charging the Bravo TS is no slouch either, it’s 3.8kw onboard charger will complete a full charge in under four hours from a standard 220V home outlet.
The TS Bravo tips the scales at 249 kg (549 lbs), which is on the heavier side when compared to other electric commuters such as the Pursang E-Track at 147 kg (324 lbs) and the Zero S at 142kg (313 lbs).
Pre-orders for the Alrendo TS Bravo are currently being offered with a €300 ($353 USD) refundable deposit. A 65% down payment will then follow in March 2021 before anticipated delivery and final payment in May 2021. Expected retail is € 9,995 ($11,851 USD).
