Moto Adonis’ Radical H-D Livewire

As electric motorcycles are becoming more common from various manufactures so to is the custom electric motorcycle scene. Most builders are utilising the existing bones of the motorcycle and creating their own look on top.

Dutch custom builders Moto Adonis have done just this with the Harley Davidson Livewire. They’ve wrapped the exterior bodywork into a futurist alien like machine, know as The Rule Breaker.

Moto Adonis were given a very open brief by their client, something any designer would be pleased with. The only direction they had was it needed to be a futuristic look. The original design was created with hand drawn concepts and from their Photoshop renders. Once approved the final parts were then shaped from aluminium for assembly.

Moto Adonis bought in Carrosseriebouw Jansen to help meet the production deadline. The armadillo like finish was first prototyped with cardboard and tape before the final parts were created. The Livewire was stripped of all original plastic parts and panels, replaced with aluminium fairings mounted to a steel subframe.

Electrical components on The Rule Breaker were upgraded in a way it as to not interfere with the bikes original wiring. Colour changing LED lights were integrated into the bodywork of the motorcycle. These lights change colour via a mobile app on the riders smartphone. Moto Adonis did retain the original Livewire display but moved it back to integrate within the new bodywork. The seat was a creation of Miller Kustom Upholstery with matching trim added around the faux tank.

The creators see this bike as a form of art but also functional and made to be ridden, hard and fast like a hooligan bike, not just admired. Certainly an impressive venture by Moto Adonis and bodes well for the company and their future projects.
