Super73 are well known for their stylish urban electric bikes and now the Southern Californian company has gone a step further with its 75mph C1X concept electric motorcycle.

Unlike Super73s existing lineup of bicycles such as the newly released R-Series the C1X does require registration and insurance with the rider suitably licensed.

Concept electric motorcycles are frequently showcased and some come with a certain amount of sideways glance my end as they will either not get to market or look vastly different when they arrive. Super73 are well established from their beginnings in 2016 and have shown their ability to turn innovation into reality so I am very confident we will see the C1X arriving into production and hitting US streets in 2024.

The C1X is compact with a 31″ (787mm) seat height and 15″ wheels rather than 17″ on standard sized motorcycles. Size wise this sits the C1X somewhere between a Honda Grom and CB500F. Super73s market has always been the younger urban rider and the C1X will fit this with a less complex, more nimble machine.

Unlike its electric bicycles the C1X has a swingarm mounted motor which can reach speeds of up to 75mph. Super73 has gone for a chain drive system rather than belt and have designed the motor and swingarm to automatically correct chain tension for minimal maintenance.

Super73 haven’t provided specs on the battery pack for the C1X but have stated a range of up to 100 miles (160 kms) of city riding. Charging time is impressive with an 80% charge reached in an hour.
